2025 Prime-Time - Day of Ride Plan

Here is the plan for Saturday, May 17th

Meet at the Lindsay Park Yacht Club parking lot at 9:30AM. If you haven't already gotten delivery of your merch order, pick up your BAGBRAD shirt orders in the parking lot.

A special treat for this year's ride! -- Fr. Rudy Juarez, Pastor, St. Anthony Catholic Church in Davenport, will join us and offer a blessing of the riders and bikes at 10AM-ish. Afterwards, we'll get a group photo and start pedaling to our first stop, Chuck's Tap.

Route stops: Chucks =>Fricks =>Kilkenny's =>Stompbox =>Devons =>Micky's Irish Pub =>Rudy's Tacos in East Village (anyd perhaps a Mystery Stop along the way...?)

Remember to bring helmets, sunscreen, water bottles, Tylenol, etc. -- And bring your camera, take and share your pics and videos for the website!!!

2024 Handlebars & Hops - Day of Ride Plan

2021 Ride Details - Lucky 7

BAGBRAD'ers will meet in the parking lot at the Isle of Capri Casino, Bettendorf, IA, where T-Shirts will be distributed between 9:30-10:15AM to individuals that pre-ordered.  There may be extras available for purchase.

We will depart the Casino parking lot at 10:30AM via the Mississippi River Trail heading downstream with a first stop at Lindsay Yacht Club, then wind across town to the west side of Davenport. Spectacular river views from the Iowa side of the Mighty Mississippi (look at pics and videos from past rides) will be enjoyed on this monstrous leg of the ride, followed by hours of camaraderie with family and friends.  The stops along the ride are identified in the "2021 Venues" page.

Enjoy the ride, smile and laugh along the way.  As we are all reminded, life is way too short.

2020 BAGBRAD - SATURDAY, AUGUST 29

6TH ANNUAL EVENT - "HARD SIX"

2020 SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP THE MORNING OF THE RACE IN THE ISLE OF CAPRI PARKING LOT BETWEEN 9:30 - 10:15AM. PLANNED ARRIVAL TIME AT OUR FIRST STOP, LINDSAY BOAT CLUB, IS 10:30, AND HEAD TO CHUCK'S FROM THERE FOR ~11AM ETA.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET HELMETS, WATER BOTTLES, CAMERAS AND ANY OTHER ACCESSORIES NEEDED TO MAKE IT THROUGH THIS GRUELING DAY AND NIGHT. REMEMBER...THIS IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT! 

FOR THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN PLANNING TO STAY AT THE CASINO, PLEASE VERIFY THAT IS STILL YOUR INTENTION AS I AM WORKING ON A FINAL ROOM COUNT WITH ISLE OF CAPRI STAFF!

BAGBRAD V - "CINCO DE DRINCO" - Update

Tut tut, looks like a good chance of rain, so bring whatever gear you need to weather a rain shower or two along the way…or a swim suit! Pre-ride meeting time and location is unchanged (Isle of Capri from 9:30 - 10:15AM). The riding route is TBD and we will make it up as we go along. Chuck’s, 3rd St and Sippi’s are all good to go, unfortunately, Ruby’s is likely “out”, then we will get creative in order to get everyone back to the Village of East Davenport…(thanks to Nik and Johnny B for scouting the route.) The Preakness is “on” and Jeff Hauge is our Event Gambling Coordinator. Rudy’s is reserving rooftop for us at 5pm (thanks Skippy!) It’s going to be a great day, rain or shine! See everyone tomorrow!

2019 BAGBRAD - Saturday, May 18th

5th Annual Event - "CINCO de DRINCO" 

2019 shirts (order at https://stores.inksoft.com/bagbrad/shop/home) will be available for pickup the morning of the race in the Isle of Capri parking lot between 9:45 - 10:15AM.  Planned departure to navigate towards our first stop, Chuck's, will be at 10:30.

Please don't forget helmets, water bottles, cameras and any other accessories needed to make it through this grueling day and night.  Remember...this is a marathon, not a sprint!  :)

See you all on Saturday for the CINCO de DRINCO!
